        SCOAP3高能物理开放获取图书

        继成功实现高能物理(HEP)期刊论文开放获取后,SCOAP3开放获取图书项目已于近日正式实施。首批102种HEP领域的图书将陆续转换为开放获取,通过SCOAP3网站的链接、OAPEN网站和参加该项目的出版社网站,提供开放获取(OA)使用。目前已有部分图书完成OA转换,通过上述网站提供使用。

        SCOAP3开放获取图书是在2019年5月召开的SCOAP3理事会会议上提出设立的一个试验项目,旨在利用SCOAP3成功实施形成的强大协作网络和与学术出版的合作关系,将HEP和邻近领域的教科书、专着从订阅出版模式转换为OA,使世界各地任何有需求的科技人员、教师、学生和社会公众等都能够免费获取和利用这些图书并从中受益。该项目由SCOAP3联盟成员的志愿者组成的专家工作组设计和推进。工作组在调查研究的基础上提出一项转换建议,将评价遴选的首批102种现有HEP领域的图书(见表2)转为OA。2021年5月1日,SCOAP3理事会批准了该建议,2021年下半年项目进入OA转换实施阶段。

        国家科技图书文献中心(NSTL)2014年起就代表我国参加SCOAP3联盟,全额承担了HEP期刊论文OA转换我国应承担的费用。本次NSTL特联合国内涉及高能物理领域的16家机构( 见表1 ),共同支持我国参加SCOAP3开放获取图书项目,共同分担我国需承担的图书OA转换费用,并委托中国科学院文献情报中心作为国内参加SCOAP3开放获取图书项目的具体执行机构。中国机构共同支持、参加SCOAP3开放获取图书项目,是对这一惠及全球高能物理领域的项目成功实施做出的重要贡献,再次体现了我国文献信息服务机构和科技界对开放获取的支持、参与和责任担当,受到SCOAP3联盟的充分肯性和高度赞誉。
